ABOUT DR. PREETIKA MUKHERJEE
Dr. Preetika Mukherjee is a pediatric neuropsychologist in New York City and she specializes in neuropsychological evaluations. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and Director of Neuropsychological Evaluation Services at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City. She teaches and supervises psychiatry fellows, psychology interns, and post-doctoral students. She is licensed in the state of New York.
Dr. Mukherjee received her doctorate in School Psychology from New York University. She completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital.
Dr. Mukherjee's has always been passionate about working with children and teenagers and it is evident in how easily she connects with them and makes them feel comfortable. She has tirelessly worked with educators, school administrators, therapists, and medical doctors to improve the overall functioning of children, adolescents and young adults in New York City for over a decade. Dr. Mukherjee is trilingual (English, Hindi, and Bengali) and has worked with families residing in the United States and abroad.
Being a mother of two children, Dr. Mukherjee can understand and empathize with the anxieties of parents. She ensures that the results of the evaluation provide a clear picture of the overall functioning and insights into the treatment. After the results and plans for treatment are discussed, Dr. Mukherjee also helps connect the families with the professionals and resources the children and adolescents need to be successful.
When she is not working, Dr. Mukherjee loves to spend time with her family, travel and read.
